Sandra Payne is a children’s writer and an award-winning director/producer for the web. She started her Hollywood career writing ancillary content for the PBS show, “Wishbone,” and then became a staff writer for the global juggernaut, ”Barney & Friends” (6 episodes plus home videos). In addition to writing for television, Sandra has written four children’s books and a YA novel. In addition to books, Sandra directed and produced more than 100 episodes of various web series, including “The Web.Files,” the 2012 winner of Best Hosted (Taped) Web Series, for which she was also nominated as best director, “Life with Kat &McKay,” “Ask Grim,” and “Green Tips from Ed Begley Jr.” She has made several award-winning short films, plus three award-winning trailers for the Austin Film Festival through her production company, SPwrite Productions, LLC, which specializes in digital content, and local commercials. For more than five years, Sandra ran the Writers Group for the International Academy of Web Television. She was also the Vice Chair and Co-Chair of the IAWTV. For several years, she regularly hosted the Web Series Meet Up at SXSW. She is also a member of the Interactive Peer Group at the Television Academy.
