Sandra J. Payne is an American writer, director, and producer. Sandra Payne was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, before moving to Sulawesi, Indonesia, with her family at the age of 12. At 14, she attended boarding school in Lech Am Arlberg, Austria, eventually moving to the Seattle, Washington, area to finish out high school and begin college. Sandra Payne graduated from Oklahoma State University, earning two undergraduate degrees (a B.S. in Management and a B.S. in Marketing). She later attended the University of North Texas, obtaining a Master’s Degree in English.
Awards
Sandra has won numerous awards over the years. Featured here is her International Academy of Web Television Award for the Best Hosted Taped Web Series, which she won for her web series, “The Web Files,” in 2012. She has also won six awards at the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival, which can be seen here.
Poetry
In 2023, Sandra was one of the 10 winners of The City of Santa Clarita Sidewalk Poetry Competition. Her poem, “Song of Today,” can be found on Adobe Court and Rio Norte Drive.
