About Me
Sandra J. Payne is a children’s writer and an award-winning digital series director/producer with a strong foundation in imaginative storytelling, picture book writing, and script development for children’s media. She has written for the PBS series, “Barney & Friends,” and the new animated version, “Barney’s World.” She also has credits on Disney Jr.’s show, “Puppy Dog Pals,” and Moonbug’s series, “T-Rex Ranch.”
Along with a lifelong love of travel, she has a variety of interests including skiing, powerlifting, and spending time with her family in Montana.
Sandra has won numerous awards over the years, including an International Academy of Web Television Award for the Best Hosted Taped Web Series, which she won for her web series, “The Web.Files,” in 2012. She has also won six different awards at the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival, and three awards for the trailer competition at the Austin Film Festival.

Poetry
In 2023, Sandra was one of the 10 winners of The City of Santa Clarita Sidewalk Poetry Competition. Her poem, “Song of Today,” can be found stamped into the concrete near the corner of Adobe Court and Rio Norte Drive in Santa Clarita, CA.
Tuffy The Cat
Sandra is a proud cat lover. Her cat, Tuffy, doubles as both her writing partner and favorite cuddle buddy. You can follow Tuffy on X at @Tuffycat.
Education
Sandra graduated from Oklahoma State University, earning two undergraduate degrees (a B.S. in Management and a B.S. in Marketing). She later attended the University of North Texas, obtaining a master’s degree in English.
